Today, while having lunch, my stepmom shares that my half brother, Don, who is only in 2nd grade has begun to love reading just like his sisters. In fact, after school, he spends time reading in the library. I joked that he probably goes there because it's cold (due to the airconditioning) and she said that no, he really reads books.

She asked him why he never borrows the books so he could read them at home and he said that the books he reads are in a series and hence, the library doesn't lend out the book. Of course, his mother was curious as to what he was reading. He replied, "'How to survive your brothers and sisters' and 'How to survive your parents'."

Of course, mom tries not to laugh and asks him what did he learn from the books. He says (about the books on surviving siblings)that instead of fighting over the toys that you both like, just be happy with what you have. And as for surviving parents, he says you just have to be more patient.

Of course, he goes on to ask, "Is that why you always pray for patience at night, mommy?"

Mom told me to ask my 5 year old brother, Xavi, who his favorite sister was and I did. He replied that I am his favorite sister simply because "she taught me how to sleep when I couldn't sleep."

All because twice, he woke up in the middle of the night and he couldn't go back to sleep so I told him that we'll try something different. I put his pillow on the other end of the bed and made him sleep there. True enough, he fell back asleep.

This is looooooong overdue and it was only until last Saturday that I remembered I have yet to accomplish. So here are 7 facts or habits about me.

1) My favorite celebrity couple of the moment are Victoria and David Beckham. Have you seen their W Magazine photoshoot?! It was H-O-T! Double hot! You could tell from the pictures they have so much chemistry! Coupled by video footages of their W Magazine shoot where they would kiss in between takes, you could tell that they really love, and are still in love, with each other! I've been watching interviews of Victoria and David Beckham and was surprised to find out that Victoria is actually pretty when she smiles, which is a lot, as opposed to how the media wants us to perceive her, and that she has a great sense of humor while David is actually very quiet and private yet is just as funny as well. 2) My guilty pleasure right now is America's Next Top Model Cycle 7. I'm downloading episodes as I type this.

3) I have 10 navel rings in my collection. I tend to go for long or dangling navel rings.

4) Believe it or not, I don't shop often. I only shop when I need something. That being said, I do not like going to malls on weekends because of the traffic and lack of parking spaces. A goes to the mall more than I do.

5) I have yet to find the perfect fragrance for me. In fact, I rarely wear perfume simply because I have sensitive skin. The acid in the perfume reacts to any metal I wear. If I spray on perfume with any jewelry on, I tend to get a rash that lasts for weeks! It's just too tedious removing and then putting on jewelry everytime I spray perfume. A, on the other hand, loves trying out different scents! Yes, my boyfriend is a metrosexual.

6) I seldom wear make up as well. I usually just slap on lip gloss to give color to my lips and that's it. I only put concealer if I have a blemish but that's also it. Inspite of getting oily skin since I started using it, I trust my Oil of Olay moisturizer that much. I only wear make up to work when I have an important meeting or if I'm going to a party.

7) I love my little brothers. I enjoy talking to them and joking around with them. Their mom (my stepmom) says that my wit challenges them. A and I occasionally take them out to watch the latest animation movie even if we end up being stressed all the time and we wonder why we keep taking them out! Mostly, I say it's to remind me not to have kids yet, that it's the perfect birth control. But really, it's because I love them. Almost every night, in the middle of the night, when I check up on them while they're sleeping in their room, I tuck them in (because they move around so much while asleep) and kiss them goodnight.
